Darus Salah began in 2019 with a small team of educators who shared a common belief in differentiating education to cultivate a love of learning and academic growth. We came together with a holistic vision of integrating character education and wellness with academic learning.
Darus Salah offers enriching classes that build confidence and spirituality through seasonal semesters. We have offered classes in religious sciences, arts, health and wellness, and literacy. During the pandemic, our programming was largely based online, serving about 200 students each semester.
Darus Salah has also developed educational support for educators who are seeking to better understand Islam and the needs of Muslim students. Islam for Educators is a project designed by Muslim teachers for public school educators and librarians committed to forging a better understanding of Islam and Muslim students.
In our next phase at Darus Salah, we look to establish an institution of learning for young scholars from preschool to eighth grade and robust summer and afterschool camps for youth and children.
